Ecowomens liberation movement represents the union of the radical ecology movement, or what has been called deep ecology, and feminism. As rosemary Ruether wrote in 1975 in her book, New Woman/New humans: Women must see that there can be no liberation for them and no solution to the ecological crisis within a society whose fundamental model of relationships continues to be one of domination.
