William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire and was baptised on the twenty-sixth of April 1564. His father was a glove maker and a wool merchant whilst his mother, called Mary Arden who was the daughter of a very slopped local landowner. Shakespeare as a child was educated in Stratfords grammar school. The next significant event in Shakespeares life is when he got married in 1582 to Anne Hathaway, the daughter of a farmer. The year after they got married Anne gave birth to a daughter, then in 1585 she gave birth to twins.
