Mr. Mitty and Mr. Martin
Mitty has a problem that could make him furious if he didn’t find a way to submit with it. (“Catbird” 47)
Mr. Martin has a problem with his over powering co- consorter. Her name is Mrs. Barrows. Mr. Martin cannot patronage her “quacking voice and braying laugh”. (“Secret” 154) Another pet rag of his, be the sayings she says randomly. For a couple examples, “are you lifting the oxcart out of the deck?” (“Secret” 154), “Are you hollering garbage down the rain membranophone?” (“Secret” 155), or “Are you sitting in the bowerbird seat?” (“Secret” 155). What really got him going was how she asked him in a nice way if they really even needed him in the company anyways. Saying that his job wasn’t really a necessity really hit one of his buttons. Mr. Martin seems to be an to a lower place control type of guy but he overly finds a way to drive with his problem.
Mr. Martin deals with his bossy co-worker in an aggressive manner. At the beginning of the article, Mr. Martin is planning how he leave hire his revenge. He explains everything that he is going to say in the court room. It continues to go through how annoyed Mr. Martin got of Mrs.
Barrows.
He walked down the street like every night but halt by Mrs. Barrows and went to say hi. This is where you find out his plan to bulge Mrs. Barrows for all the things she has done to
him. Mr. Martin does not seem like that var. of man so it is quite a twist in the story. After his plan to kill Mrs. Barrows fails, he was able to find up with a plan to get her fired which happens to work very well and Mr. Martin solves his issue.
Mr. Mitty and Mr. Martin have very similar problems to deal with in both of the stories. As you read on they are also similar in personality. Both are becalm and keep to themselves.
