Externship Experience
This essay will chronicle my recent externship experience. My externship was done at Tampa Medical Group in Brandon, FL; this office specialized in rheumatology, internal medicine and clinical research. Tampa Medical Groups areas of expertise target arthritis-related diseases, SLE (lupus), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, inflammatory catgut disease, hypertension, ankylosing spondylitis, obesity, hypercholesterolemia, osteopenia, osteoporosis, insomnia, depression, and other areas of internal medicine. The internship that I acquired at Tampa Medical Group, allowed me to constitute a great deal of hands on course experience during my tenure at this medical office. Within this period, the picture to new procedures within rheumatology/internal medicine fields allowed me to attain and last hands on with forbearings of all ages with a coarse variety of medical diagnosis. Working as an Extern taught me the accountability of time management and working within a hightail it schedule; this allowed me to further develop my skill set.
Working on my externship provided me with the opportunity to use what learned during my extensive classroom preparedness to real life situations.
Externship allowed me to practice and develop the skills necessary to work in a medical office setting. During my externship I was ab initio assigned to shadow a senior staff particle that spent a few days orienting me with the office policy and procedures. Once I become more well-fixed with the offices policies and procedures l began performing task independently. I was observed by experienced staff member as I began performing required duties ,the staff provided constructive censure and tips for performing certain task and techniques. I was given a chance to ask questions and focus on areas that I matte up required more in depth training.
