Decision-Making Process Paper
According to Bateman and Snell (2011), there are half-dozen stages to a decision-making process which are identify and diagnose the enigma, stupefy alternative resultant roles, evaluate alternatives, make the choice, implement the decision, and evaluate the decision. This typography will address a personal decision I ask make in my life, to include what steps I took and if those steps compare or contrast to the six stages mentioned above.
A few months ago, I was living in an apartment that I was content with but my girlfriend was not. At that point I decided to identify what problems existed within our current home. The first problem was that we lived on the third floor. Any time we purchased unsanded piece of furniture or had a handful of groceries, it was always a get to going upstairs. The second problem was that the entire apartment was carpeted. We have a dog that was not potty trained at the time, so steam cleaning the carpet every calendar week was getting exhausting. The third problem was that the apartment was only 600 even up feet. That meant that all areas of the apartment (bathroom, living room, bedroom) were conjoined together with no extra room to just relax.
The only alternative solution was to rent a bigger apartment.
What caused further complications was that we did not uniform the complex that we were in, so we also had to locate and move into an exclusively different place altogether. This solution would be considered both off-the-peg and custom-made because people we know have already made that type of decision before and that the new apartment has to take over our specific needs. When it came to evaluating the alternatives, we chose just one apartment complex without victorious the time to look at any others. Fortunately, we enjoy our new place so there is no regret in terms of not researching into other options.
