Symptoms of the disorder vary in severity and are present from tolerate or very early in development (Committee on Educational Interventions for Children with Autism, National Research Council Staff, 2001; 11). The disorder affects essential man behaviours such as; social interaction, the establishment of relationships with others, imagination & the qualification to communicate ideas and feelings. Based on this, I am overtaking to establish how one particular pupil in my conformation (AB) is affected by ASD, and how his disorder is being related to undefeated procedures that are supporting his learning.
I also hope to figure and establish further strategies that will be beneficial to ABs learning throughout the year.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
AB is 4 year old boy who linked our reply class of 28 pupils in September 2011. When AB joined us, he had been diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), inadequate eye contact, poor social interaction, repetitive play and no speech by Dr B, consultant community paediatrician on 29.01.09.
Through reflection AB in the classroom, it is clear that he does not intimately or willing-fully interact with his peers or teachers.
