Hinduisms Influence on Indian Art
In India, religion is a very important calve of Indian customs and traditions. Much of Indian cunning has been produced in the context of religious use. The dominant religion of India is Hinduism. Because it has such an capacious presence in the Indian culture, it has greatly influenced many art pieces passim the centuries.
Hinduism refers to a vast array of religious movements (Henderson, 30). All of the movements claim to relate with texts such as the Vedas, the Dharma Shastaras, and the Puranas, which are the early written forms of sacred texts (Henderson, 30). Although these religions, such as Jainism and Buddhism, contradicted Hindu perspectives, they appealed to many plenty with their three key bringing close togethers of nonviolence, teachings that all could attain salvation, and karma (Henderson, 30).

Most of the temples central themes are of Vishnu, Lakshmi, and Brahman. Sculptures of these gods were incorporated into many temples, plainly also could be art all on their own. Sculptures seemed to bewilder off as more realistic and reinforce peoples beliefs of deities.
