DavignonModule 2 September 26, 2010 Critically Evaluating varied Perspectives on an Event in the Media On September 21, 2010 well-nigh headlines across the media spectrum reported the death of 9 U.S. Service members in Afghanistan due to a helicopter crash in Daychopan dominion of Zabul province, one of the several turbulent southern regions where coalition and Afghan troops have been battling the tenacious militant group for historic period as reported by the CNN wire staff. Unfortunately media reports on this incident were not all following the same mark and most used this tragic event to fuel their strategical media ideals on the war in Afghanistan and the U.S. and coalition forces involvement. The Taliban claimed to have supposition down the helicopter, but NATO said there were "no reports of competitor fire in the area (Al Jezeera, September 21, 2010)”. This quote came from the AL Jezeera news network and many others. What accompanied this were other assumptions of how the solid incident could have or would have taken place. umpteen people see Al Jazeera as a more trustworthy source of information than government and foreign manoeuvers. The beam gained worldwide attention following the September 11, 2001 attacks, when it was the only channel to cover the war in Afghanistan live from its office there.



The Al Jezeera network feeds from public opinion and supposed notable eyewitness accounts such as, "[However] we have spoken to an eye witness in the area who said he saw a rocket hit it (Al Jezeera),” have sometimes persuaded there reviewers and viewers to usurp these as truth. The nature and events of this incident will will plainly draw curiosity, and an emotional obligation to know and conspiracy theories to arise.
